A post a little off the coffee path today! As the owner of this site I thought I would share something a little different with our readers. October 17 here in Brisbane, Queensland Australia will see myself, my family and thousands of other awesome individuals participating in the annual MS Moonight Walk.
A year and a half ago, my beautiful wife Melissah (shameless plug for her blog here) was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. MS is an auto immune disease, where a persons body damages it's own central nervous system. The effects of this are wide and varied but often include muscle weakness, spasms, tingling, numbness, vision impairment and in certain cases can be debilitating and limit a persons mobility.
MS Queensland provides support for those living with MS, with assistance in all aspects of their lives, but they also drive much needed research into understanding more about this currently incurable disease.
We all participated in this event last year, which is a 10 kilometre walk around the city of Brisbane in the early evening. It was an excellent way to see the city in a different light, casually walk for a couple of hours and socialise all while raising important and needed funds to support MS Queensland.
I'm calling on all of my coffee loving friends and readers to help me out in fundraising for my walk in October. My goal is a modest $200, and every cent we raise goes towards assisting those living with MS.
I would love your support in any amount you can spare, $1, $5, $10, $100 whatever you can afford! You can use the donate button below to pay securely by credit card, alternatively check out my official fundraising page on the Moonlight Walk page to donate there.
I would like to thank you all in advance for your wonderful support, both in this fundraising effort but also of our great website in general.
